Prabhas to play Quli Qutub Shah?
While Anushka Shetty is all set to play Bhagmati, there is huge buzz going on who will play the male lead in the film. Though it's not a period drama, we hear the role of male lead will be similar to the characterization of emperor Quli Qutub Shah, who built Bhagyanagar for Bhagmati. Here is the exclusive and spicy update about the project. According to our reliable sources, Prabhas is expected to play the protagonist in this social drama. But nothing has been finalized and the talks are in nascent phase.
Mirchi' producers Vamsi and Pramod, close friends of Prabhas and also said to be his cousins, are trying to rope in him. Even Prabhas seems to be keen on essaying the role but he is mulling over as Rajamouli's epic Baahubali is still in shooting. Prabhas is not sure whether Rajamouli gives nod to participate in the shoot after April. So, the makers are keeping this under wraps.

Katrina narrowly defeated Priyanka & Deepika
T-town 'Malliswari' Katrina Kaif bagged the world's sexiest Asian woman title for the fourth consecutive year in a poll by a weekly magazine in London. The actress narrowly defeated Priyanka Chopra and current box office queen Deepika Padukone. She secured the top spot in the world-renowned '50 Sexiest Asian Women List 2013' with Chopra coming second, Dhami third and Padukone fourth. The win comes just weeks before Katrina hits the big screen again in one of the year's biggest Bollywood releases 'Dhoom 3: Back In Action'.
The highest new entry was 'Aashiqui 2' star Shraddha Kapoor (12), who narrowly missed out the top 10. The highest placed Pakistani was Humaima Malick (15) and the only non-Indian in the list was 'Anger Management' star Noureen DeWulf (10).

Another Aadi for NTR
NTR rose to stardom with Aadi, which was a sensational blockbuster and Simhadri took him to another level. Bellamkonda Suresh spotted the talent in Vinayak and made Aadi on his banner and rest is history. However he didn't make another film with NTR for more than a decade. 'I was waiting for making a film that is on par with Aadi. Hence I didn't produce another one until Rabhasa,' Bellamkonda Suresh said.

Prema Ishq Kadhal directed by debutante Pavan Sadineni has three pairs in the lead roles. This film is out in theaters now.
What is it about?
This film is about love life of three pairs. Raju (Vishnu) - Sameera (Ritu), Randhir (Harshavardhan Rane) - Sarayu (Vithika), Arjun (Harish) - Shanti (Srimukhi) are the three pairs who go through different situations and face similar fate. As the title suggests this film is about 'love' and director believes that one of this could be our story.
Performances:
Harshavardhan Rane has done a couple of films and he is not an alien to the cameras. The confidence can be seen in his portrayal of his character. Vishnu is at ease playing an easy going Raju. Harish is alright as the crooked minded lover. Ritu Varma steals the show among the female leads. She is supremely confident and very pleasing on eyes. Vithika is not up to the mark and Srimukhi managed to pull it off somehow. There is not much to talk about other characters. Rajesh's character was supposed to be funny, but it didn't turn out as expected.
Technicalities:
Pavan Sadineni handled the film like an ace director. He knows the art of filmmaking and he made a clean and quality film which is high on technical front. However he didn't put much into the writing and that has let this film down. A strong script could have done wonders to PIK. Music by Shravan is splendid. All the songs are very impressive. Music takes the cake and cinematography is equally good. Quality technical output for a low budget film is very rare in Tollywood. PIK team can hold their heads high with this output.
Analysis:
Although PIK teams good points on the technical front it lost many due to lackluster script. The director is known for making short films and maybe he didn't put much effort into this feature film. None of the characters really appeal to you and you cannot identify yourself in any of them.
Characters are poorly etched as well as the love stories. None of the love stories are strong enough to involve you emotionally. You will not feel a pinch when all the stories end on a rough note. Director failed to get the transformation right towards the end. However, second half is far better than the first half and has some good moments.
PIK has good music, attractive visuals and able star cast. Besides that it fails to hold the attention of audience due to lazy pacing and of poor script. This film is targeted at multiplex audiences and city youth. They may give it pass marks but this film could have achieved more if they got the script right. Watch it for its rocking soundtrack!

These days they say that if a trailer is hit with cine lovers, then the movie is a sure shot hit, else if it is regular, then movie will feel that impact at box office. Let us see what Telugu audiences are talking about at the moment.
Here comes another small budgeted movie, produced by King Nagarjuna, and is making huge impact on Film Nagar now. While presiding at the audio launch of Selvaraghavan's latest movie 'Varna', almost every big shot attending the event has took the bhajan program of our lovely program. Among them, producer Bandla Ganesh's words for her stand on the top of flattery. 'Anushka is a golden goose for producers. After looking at Varna posters at PVP office the other day, I got shell shocked', said Ganesh. Wearing his trademark smile, he said 'I Love You Anushka', like a Rasna baby. Everyone at the event went bursting into laughs including Anushka.

Anushka Shetty's new tattoo has been the talking point. The tattoo was spotted on her wrists of both arms especially it's visible on her right wrist. Though it's not real but for reel and part of her forthcoming flick Varna, it's interesting and raising many eyebrows.
