Director Puri Jagannath is experimenting with a new dimension for his much-hyped film, The Businessman, and has resolved to add a special comedy track featuring ace comedian,
Ali, to give the audience a few laughs. Some time after recording the
promotional song of the film with Mahesh Babu and himself next week, the
director will embark upon canning six to seven scenes to include a bit
of humour and lighten the storyline.
Even though the film is almost complete with the filming of the final
song in Bangkok remaining, a new idea hit the director. “After watching
the rushes, he realised that the riveting saga needs some humorous
scenes to pep up the proceedings and he had already scripted an exciting
fun track,” says a source, close to the director.
It is believed that the success of
Dookudu could have inspired him, since the cop story had ample dose of
comedy and it worked. Taking leaf out of Srinu Vaitla’s diary, director
Puri intends to blend comedy to his riveting story of a mafia don in an attempt to reach beyond its target audience. The Puri-Ali combo had worked wonders in hits like Pokiri, Idiot and 143 but can the duo repeat the magic?
