The search for the heroine in Kamal Haasan's ambitious project
'Viswaroopam' has come to an end atlast. Kamal has roped in New
York-based actress Pooja Kumar as the female lead of the film.
Pooja Kumar, who won the Miss India USA pageant in 1995, says she has no reason to reject Kamal's film.
"You can't say no to a film with Tom Cruise, the same with Mr Kamal Hassan. On the sets, he switches himself from the roles of Hero, Director and Producer within minutes. He is a legend," said Pooja Kumar, when quizzed her about what prompted her to sign the film.
Notably, Pooja Kumar was not the first choice for the female lead in 'Viswaroopam'. Earlier, Sonakshi Sinha was offered the role and she even signed the film, but walked out due to prior commitments. Though the names of Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were in circulation, nothing got materialised. After a lot of thinking, Kamal has zeroed in on Pooja Kumar. Though casting Pooja Kumar was a surprise to many, let's hope she delivers her best and doesn't let Kamal down!!!
