Ramayya Vastavayya team conducted a formal 'success' meet on Tuesday to promote their film. Although the film is performing below expectations, in exact words of producer Dil Raju, the team met press to be in news. Dil Raju stated that Ramayya Vastavayya will be a profitable venture for him. He didn't mention if the buyers and third parties will enter into safe zone or not, which seems pretty unlikely looking at the performance of Ramayya. The film's collections on third and fourth day are less than Attarintiki Daredi (which is in its third week) in many centers.
Dil Raju felt that the title and the content of the film are not in sync and raised wrong expectations on the film, which resulted in the negative talk. Dil Raju hardly smiled in the 'success meet' and that speaks volumes about the film's result. Meanwhile, Harish Shankar, who was supposed to defend his film and talk high about it in the success meet, didn't do so. He is not at all concerned to give an answer to the critics that have shredded the film to pieces.
Instead Harish showered praises on Shruti Haasan, who was present in the success meet. Each and every critic panned Shruti Haasan's character and her performance as Ammulu in Ramayya Vastavayya. But Harish lauded her for giving a natural performance in a 'challenging' role. NTR and Samantha didn't bother to meet the press and only Shruti made some time to promote it. Maybe Harish was impressed with that gesture and couldn't control himself in talking high about her. By doing so, he has intelligently ducked all the negative questions from the press.
